Job Title: Evening Cleaner

Location: Gwendolen Avenue

Salary: A£12.80/ hour

Hours: 6:30pm – 9:30pm

Job Type: Part Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Use your initiative to complete the tasks below to a high standard and seek direction where required.

Classrooms, children\’s bathrooms and communal areas:

1. Remove finger marks from all doors and windows
2. Sweep, hoover rooms, dust, mop all areas
3. Hover and clean all staircases
4. Clean and sanitise toilets and sinks
5. Wipe down door handles
6. Polish mirrors
7. Empty bins
8. Wipe shelving
9. Staff/children\’s toilets
10. Wash floor
11. Clean toilet
12. Clean sink area
13. Empty bin
14. Offices
15. Empty bins – nightly
16. Wipe down surfaces
17. Staff room and Kitchenette
18. Hoover floor
19. Disinfect and wipe sides
20. Clean the sink
21. Empty bins
22. Ensure all utensils, mugs, plates and bowls are washed up and put away
23. Security: Ensure all windows / doors / gates and main doors are closed and locked at the end of the evening.

The above is a guideline to the day-to-day duties of an Evening Cleaner and it is not an exhaustive list and may be reviewed.

About you:

1. Ensure that you understand the standards and philosophy of the nursery and project them at all times to parents and other staff members.
2. Ensure that your own personal hygiene is to be kept to a high standard at all times and you are using the appropriate gloves, protective clothing whilst working.
