Location: Kingswinford, UK (Monthly travel to Europe required)

Salary: Up to £45,000 + 10% bonus

Job description

An established, international manufacturing group is seeking an experienced ESG Leader to develop, implement, and oversee ESG strategy, policies, accreditations, and reporting across multiple European sites. The organisation supplies precision‑engineered components into highly regulated sectors including automotive, medical, and industrial, and is committed to driving sustainable operations, strong governance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagement and account management relating to ESG disclosure, sustainability programmes, reporting, and research.
• Oversee site Health and Safety governance, including reporting and H&S meeting coordination.
• Manage external ESG reporting and disclosure activities across the Group.
• Support the Commercial team with ESG and sustainability advisory services as required.
• Develop guidelines, checklists, policies and procedures aligned with recognised ESG frameworks.
• Produce narrative content for sustainability reports, trend analyses and communications for General Managers and the Board.
• Provide guidance on the professional design and layout of ESG reports.
• Build relationships with clients and ESG‑related service providers (e.g., Carbon Footprint Management, HSE, CBAM).

Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of ESG reporting standards, disclosure requirements, environmental/carbon metrics, and H&S protocols.
• Proven ability to prepare ESG reports and submissions for rating agencies – EcoVadis experience essential.
• Skilled in ESG data collection, analysis and reporting, with excellent attention to detail and high‑quality output.
• Commercially aware with strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Degree in a relevant field with experience in sustainability/ESG leadership or consulting, including assurance or improving ESG internal controls.
• Self‑starter with strong organisational ability and a proactive, analytical approach.
• Willing and able to travel monthly to Slovakia (up to 50% of time as required).
