A genuine opportunity to step into a Senior Civil Engineer role where you will take technical ownership, lead drainage and infrastructure design, and play a key part in developing a growing civil engineering team.

This Senior Civil Engineer position is based in Hemel Hempstead and forms part of an established, environmentally focused multidisciplinary consultancy delivering residential, commercial and mixed use developments across the South East and wider UK. You will work closely with planners, environmental specialists and project teams, giving you full exposure to the complete development lifecycle.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and detailed S104 designs, while supporting the technical development of junior engineers and strengthening client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead drainage and civil infrastructure design from feasibility through to technical approval
  • Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
  • Deliver adoptable and private drainage designs to S104 standards
  • Support levels, earthworks and infrastructure layouts
  • Liaise with local authorities, water companies and planning teams
  • Check and mentor junior engineers and technicians
  • Contribute to project programming, quality and client management
About You
  • Degree qualified Civil Engineer with strong UK consultancy experience
  • Proven background in drainage, SuDS and development infrastructure
  • Confident using AutoCAD and drainage software such as InfoDrainage
  • Ambitious Senior Civil Engineer ready to lead and progress
