We are looking for an experienced and committed Drainage Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of drainage systems, while also carrying out minor plumbing tasks where required. This is a varied and hands-on position that requires strong technical ability, a proactive approach, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify faults within drainage systems, including light plumbing work as needed.
  • Carry out repairs, installations, and replacements of pipes, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Diagnose and clear blockages, ensuring systems operate effectively.
  • Perform planned maintenance and routine servicing of drainage and plumbing systems.
  • Provide professional advice and clear guidance to customers on drainage and plumbing issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and uphold health and safety standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Drainage Engineer and/or Plumbing Engineer.
  • Strong working knowledge of drainage systems, associated equipment, and general on-site plumbing.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve drainage and plumbing issues efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and the South East.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00, plus one week per month on an on-call rota (Monday to Sunday, 11:00–19:00 or until finish).
