We are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing business in Telford and helping them recruit an additional Engine Fitter to join their team. This role works a day shift pattern (8am : 4.30pm Monday to Friday) and offers an annual salary up to £35,000 per annum (DOE). Overtime is available and paid at T1/2 premium when worked.
This role would be an excellent fit for someone who has previously worked with Car, HGV or Military Vehicle Engines either in a working capacity or as a hobby and has experience with stripping and rebuilding Engines. Similar job titles would include Engine Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Engine Strip and Re‑builder, HGV Engine Fitter, or Vehicle Mechanic.
What You Will Do
- Strip down and refurbish various components, breathing new life into each part.
- Clean down parts once disassembled, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
- Conduct tests on components once reassembled, guaranteeing they function as intended.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, translating them into actionable tasks.
- Utilize hand and power tools daily, including spanners and torque wrenches, to perform tasks efficiently.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
