We are looking for skilled Electricians to join our team in Merseyside. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical repairs, installations, testing and maintenance across tenanted domestic properties. The role includes fault finding, rewires, consumer unit upgrades, EICRs, responsive repairs and ensuring all work meets current regulations and safety standards. Duties:
- Repair and replace faulty electrical accessories, including socket outlets, light fittings, switches and extractor fans.
- Inspect, test and certify electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations and safety standards.
- Fault diagnosis and rectification of consumer units (fuse boxes).
- Installation of new electrical accessories, including socket outlets, light fittings, switches and extractor fans.
- Carry out first‑fix electrical works, including full and partial rewires.
- Install additional socket outlets, cabling and associated accessories as required.
- Work independently or as part of a team to achieve daily repair and completion targets.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with tenants and residents, explaining the nature of works and expected outcomes.
- Ensure work areas are left clean, safe and tidy on completion of all tasks.
- Always deliver a high standard of customer care.
- Use relevant IT and job management systems to manage, prioritise and complete workloads efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Role Criteria:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations: to include AM2.
- City and Guilds 18th Edition Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous domestic, social housing experience.
