Qualifications:
- Apprenticeship / HNC / HND / BTEC / City and Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering.
- Previous experience carrying out electrical design.
- Knowledge of how PLC systems work.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical.
- Experience in heavy engineering sectors such as mining, nuclear, energy, rail, power plant or similar.
- Excellent problem‑solving capabilities.
- Previous wiring and fault‑finding experience ideal.
- Experience working with different electrical test equipment.
- Good project skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Full driving licence.
Responsibilities:
- Work within the existing multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Produce detailed design specifications for control systems.
- Test electrical control panels.
- Produce test specifications as required.
- Liaise directly with customers as part of the projects.
- Develop control system hardware.
- Produce wiring diagrams and GA drawings.
