The predicted salary is between 43000 - 58000 Β£ per year.

Salary: GBP 50,000 - GBP 55,000 (dependent on experience and skillset) plus annual discretionary performance bonus, up to GBP 3,000.

Location: Wolverhampton

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

The Role:

  • Develop and modify software using LabVIEW and Siemens platforms.
  • Produce wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for control cabinets and field installations using EPlan.
  • Diagnose faults in existing electro-mechanical systems.
  • Design and integrate upgrades to control systems.
  • Commission and test new machines, including software created in-house.
  • Contribute to sales proposals and prepare designs for manufacture.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers and supervise electrical technicians.
  • Oversee electrical build projects and subcontractors.
  • Travel to UK customer sites for installations (occasional overnight stays required).

Preferred Skills And Experience:

  • You will previously have worked as a PLC programmer, automation engineer, controls engineer, industrial drives engineer, electrical design engineer, automation design engineer, EC and I engineer, production engineer or electrical engineer, along with experience in the below:
  • Siemens PLC programming (TIA Portal, WinCC): S7-1500/1200, Safety PLCs, Ladder Logic.
  • Siemens and Control Techniques Drives (G120/S120, M700).
  • Electrical CAD design using EPlan (2D layouts, multi-line diagrams, parts specification).
  • LabVIEW experience.
  • Knowledge of UK Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations and EU Machinery Directive.
  • Methodical, accurate, and strong communicator.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
