Salary: GBP15.37 - GBP16.78 per hour, GBP27,463 - GBP29,982 per annum (Dependent on experience)

About the Provision

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Lead to become the heartbeat of our Mansfield hub.

The Role

As a Pastoral Lead, you won't just manage behaviour; you will transform lives. Reporting to the School/Hub Lead, you will create a nurturing environment where students feel safe, heard, and empowered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Wellbeing: Deliver daily 1:1 pastoral support, tutorial sessions, and targeted interventions.
  • De-escalation and Mediation: Provide conflict resolution, restorative conversations, and student debriefs.
  • Safeguarding and Attendance: Support robust safeguarding processes and actively promote student attendance.
  • Student Voice: Facilitate the student council, questionnaires, and forums to ensure our young people have a voice in their education.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams, parents, carers, and external agencies, attending key multi-agency meetings.
  • Data and Insights: Record and analyse pastoral data to help tailor individualised student support programmes.

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Education, Youth Work, Social Care).
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Extensive experience in a pastoral, wellbeing, or youth-focused role.
  • Proven experience supporting young people with SEND, ASC, or mental health complexities.
  • A calm, reflective mindset with strong behaviour de-escalation skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
