We are seeking an experienced Pastoral Lead to oversee student wellbeing, behaviour management, and family engagement at our specialist education site in Mansfield. This role is pivotal in removing barriers to learning for students with diverse SEND and mental health needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver 1:1 student pastoral interventions.
- Lead conflict resolution, mediation, and post-incident debriefs.
- Manage safeguarding, attendance, and behaviour monitoring systems.
- Facilitate whole-school wellbeing initiatives, including PSHE support.
- Act as a key liaison for parents, carers, and external multi-agency teams.
- Provide staff cover and line management support where required by the Hub Lead.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualifications: Level 3 or higher in a relevant discipline; GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
- Experience: Robust background in pastoral care, alternative provision, or a school environment.
- Specialism: Solid understanding of SEND, Autism (ASC), and trauma-informed practices.
- Skills: Exceptional de-escalation tactics, crisis management, and data tracking abilities.
- Mobility: Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
