Overview
We are seeking a passionate, energetic and qualified Nursery Room Leader / Third in Charge to join the senior team at our highly regarded nursery in Forest Row. This role is the perfect stepping stone for a Senior Practitioner or Room Leader looking to develop their management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor your designated room, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, creative EYFS activities.
- Act as the Third in Charge, assisting with daily operations, compliance, opening/closing duties, and taking charge of the nursery when required.
- Foster strong, collaborative, and trusting relationships with parents and carers.
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
What We Need From You (Requirements)
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Proven experience working as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or Nursery Nurse looking to step up.
- Deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum, child development, and safeguarding procedures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a small team.
