Your Role as an Early Years Expert
As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you are the architect of a childs foundational academic skills.
- Deliver High: Impact Phonics: Lead daily phonics sessions that build the decoding skills essential for early reading success.
- Creative Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute engaging, play: infused lessons in Numeracy and Literacy that meet National Curriculum standards.
- Nurturing Environment: Create a classroom culture where 5: to:7: year: olds feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and celebrate their lightbulb moments.
- Progress Tracking: Use formative assessment to monitor early milestones, ensuring every child receives the targeted support they need to thrive.
Essential Requirements
- To be considered for this Primary Teaching role, you must meet the following:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory (ECTs/NQTs are highly encouraged ).
- Phonics Experience: A strong understanding of systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) delivery.
- Classroom Presence: The energy and patience to manage a vibrant KS1 classroom while maintaining a focused learning flow.
- Compliance: A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness ) and a 100 commitment to Safeguarding.
