This is the ideal opportunity to join my client, a trusted, exciting Multidisciplinary Consultancy, dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by launching a brand new office location in beautiful Scotland. Known for lending their expertise to a range of high‑profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are actively seeking a determined, enthusiastic Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to take on an array of challenging new projects. You will be working alongside a newly established team of design professionals, based near the green, picturesque city of Dunfermline.

Responsibilities For The Role Of Senior Civil Engineer Include:
- Contributing to the design of projects and developments across the local region and beyond
- Leading the day‑to‑day running of various projects, from inception through to successful delivery/implementation
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues
- Liaising with a range of clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
- Preparing and checking technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and more
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, ensuring you continually uphold the appropriate health and safety standards
- Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a cognate discipline)
- Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE), or actively seeking to attain this
- Demonstrable experience of working in a design‑based role, within a UK‑based consultancy or Local Authority setting
- Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (namely highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
- Experience of earthworks design and drainage network modelling
- Proficient in the use of various software systems (including Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Considerable experience of writing and checking a number of different technical documents
- Extensive experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders
- Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- A UK Higher Degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments and Transport Assessments
- Experience of leading projects/teams
- Experience of working in a public‑facing role
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
