Overview
The University of East London is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join their team as a Disability and Mental Health Advisor. This is a crucial role where you will provide essential support to students, ensuring they have the resources and plans needed to thrive academically and personally.
Place of work: Complete Remote work
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Responsibilities
- Providing vital administrative support to students.
- Managing and responding to student queries with efficiency and empathy.
- Developing and implementing robust support plans for students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD), mental health needs, and autism.
- Collaborating closely with students to address their unique requirements.
- Maintaining meticulous records and documentation.
- Liaising effectively with various university departments and external organizations.
- Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of student support services.
- Engaging in continuous professional development and relevant training.
Experience
2+ years of experience as a disability Advisor.
Requirements / Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting students or individuals with disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
- Previous experience working with SpLD, mental health, and autism is highly advantageous.
- Immediate availability to commence employment.
