Director of Engineering : Luxury 5* Hotel, London

Location: Central London

The Director of Engineering will manage all aspects of safety, maintenance, and repairs of the property, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while being consistent with high standards (including risk management) and achievement of planned profit through planning, organization, and control of the overall engineering operation and department, whilst also overseeing a team of Engineering and Maintenance specialists.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that power generators and RO plants operate and are maintained at the highest standards.
• Plans, organizes, and manages all projects and construction activities.
• Ensures compliance of all areas with the risk management standards.
• Responsible for maintaining the highest fire safety standards.
• Ensures that all electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning systems, and heating systems are operated, maintained, and repaired to the highest possible standards while keeping all related costs under control.
• Implements a preventive maintenance programme for all facilities.
• Ensures that all costs of the department, detailed in the revenue plan for the year, are kept under control.
• Develops all team members of the department with appropriate training and coaching.
