We are currently working with a leading national law firm seeking a talented Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor (4 PQE+) to join its growing London‑based Insurance team. Hybrid working arrangements available. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑performing and fast‑expanding practice acting for major insurers and policyholders on a broad range of complex and high‑value claims.

The Role

  • Manage your own caseload of defendant EL/PL claims
  • Assist partners on complex and high‑profile litigation
  • Handle pre‑action and litigated personal injury and property damage claims
  • Advise on regulatory investigations and prosecutions involving the HSE, police and CQC
  • Attend coroner's inquests
  • Assist with policy coverage disputes and interpretation issues
  • Work on claims ranging from fast‑track matters through to multi‑million‑pound, multi‑party disputes
  • Dealing primarily with instructions from insurers on behalf of policyholders, plus direct non‑insurance related instructions

About You

  • 4+ years' PQE in defendant personal injury litigation
  • Strong experience handling Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims
  • An insurer client background, ideally acting on behalf of insurers/policyholders
  • Excellent technical and drafting ability
  • Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills
  • A proactive, ambitious and organised approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills
