Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only).

Your Role as a Behavioural Mentor
- De-escalation and Support: Recognise triggers and use low-level de-escalation techniques to prevent classroom disruptions and keep students on task.
- 1:1 and Small Group Mentorship: Work closely with specific students to build rapport, improve their social skills, and boost their self-esteem through structured intervention.
- Inclusion Support: Assist the school's Inclusion or Bridge unit, providing a safe space for students who find the mainstream classroom environment overwhelming.
- Collaborative Strategy: Work alongside the SENCO and Pastoral Leads to implement individual behaviour plans (IBPs) and ensure a consistent approach to student welfare.
Essential Requirements
- Are Naturally Resilient: You understand that behaviour is communication and can maintain a professional, non-judgmental attitude in challenging situations.
- Have Relevant Experience: This could be from a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit), youth work, sports coaching, residential care, or even a background in psychology or the police/military.

- Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS (or are willing) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding and child welfare.
