A leading private healthcare provider is seeking a caring and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join their established inpatient ward team in Crowborough.
Working alongside experienced nurses, therapists and other healthcare professionals, you will play an important role in supporting patients with their day: to: day care while helping to ensure a safe, comfortable and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high: quality, compassionate support with patients personal care, dignity and daily living needs, including nutrition, dressing and admission/discharge support.
- Undertake routine observations, record NEWS scores and promptly elevate any concerns or changes in a patients condition.
- Perform basic clinical duties including urinalysis, BMI calculations, fluid balance monitoring, anti: embolism stocking measurements and point: of: care blood testing.
- Escort patients safely to other departments and theatre, using appropriate patient: handling techniques.
- Support the delivery and documentation of individual patient care plans and pathways.
- Report clinical concerns, accidents, maintenance issues and potential risks to the appropriate Registered Nurse.
- Assist with general administrative duties, communication and accurate documentation when required.
- Follow infection prevention, health and safety and safer patient: handling procedures at all times.
- Participate in mandatory training, relevant e: learning and ongoing competency development.
- Recognise professional limitations and seek guidance from Registered Nurses or Therapists when required.

- You Will Have
- Previous experience providing patient care within a hospital, healthcare or care setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A caring and respectful approach to supporting patients and their families.
- An understanding of patient dignity, confidentiality and infection prevention.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A willingness to undertake further training and work towards relevant City and Guilds/NVQ qualifications .
- A proactive approach with a genuine commitment to learning and professional development.
