Randstad Education is urgently seeking high‑calibre Cover Supervisors with a proven track record in mainstream or SEN settings for immediate starts in Birkenhead (CH41 and surrounding areas of the Wirral).

Your Role

  • Lead the classroom by supervising students as they complete pre‑set work.
  • Manage student behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Guide learning by explaining lesson objectives and answering student questions.
  • Ensure a safe environment by following all school safeguarding procedures.
  • Take accurate registers and monitor attendance at the start of every lesson.
  • Collect completed work and provide feedback for the returning teacher.
  • Act as a professional role model, encouraging students to stay on task and engaged.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people (e.g., coaching, youth work).
  • Effective communication skills to explain tasks and give instructions.
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to handle challenging behaviour.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for one).
