Our client has been established for almost 40 years and are recognised market leaders in the design and development, manufacture and distribution of an impressive portfolio of solutions for supply throughout the world. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2026 and beyond, they are looking to recruit an experienced, hands-on and proactive Continuous Improvement Engineer to complement their professional and successful manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Manufacturing Design Engineering Manager and be based near Coleshill.
- Identify and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve quality.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies in manufacturing and company processes; collaborate with the engineering team to perform DMAIC activities to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Provide technical guidance to enhance production quality and efficiency; monitor and analyse KPIs to identify areas for improvement and take corrective action.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to optimise operations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.
- Establish effective relationships with shift supervisors or process implementers; provide direction, train and mentor colleagues in SOPs and new ways of working; run Kaizen events while ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Manage projects through to implementation, deliver on time and within budget; improve factory floor layouts and optimise workflow and operator movement.
- Liaise with the Engineering team on specification procurement and the implementation of new plant and equipment; revisit implemented changes to ensure sustained results.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years proven experience in a dedicated process improvement manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in lean manufacturing processes and methodologies (Six Sigma, 5S, PDCA, Kaizen, Kanban, etc.).
- Qualified to HND level (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with AutoCAD and the MS Office suite.

Excellent influencing and communication skills at all levels; ability to diagnose and define problems, measure/collect and analyse data, determine root cause, and implement solutions that sustain outcomes. You should be results- and data-driven, motivated to improve and sustain change, and capable of motivating others in a continuous improvement-focused environment.
