Derby-based client, established over 30 years, seeks Commissioning Engineers for control system projects in transportation, airport and power infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Work days and nights with project and development teams during commissioning stages and ensure smooth handover to the customer.
- Check installation of equipment to correct standard prior to testing.
- Perform system testing per Installation & Commissioning Test documents.
- Conduct PLC data input tests and verify operation between plant, field devices and PLCs.
- Set up field devices.
- Execute site acceptance tests and troubleshoot/correct PLC code or wiring issues.
- Produce documentation such as RAMs, test reports and weekly progress reports.
- Attend site progress meetings, toolbox talks and represent the business in client‑facing test conditions.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant commissioning experience and qualification to HND level or above in electrical or control engineering.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence, an EDU/EEA/Swiss passport for working in Europe and have no criminal convictions (required for airport security clearances).
