Vacancy Type: Permanent, Part Time
Hours: 3 hours (7am–10am). Flexibility on times; additional hours may be available during school holidays and on an ad hoc basis.
Job Specification / Key Areas of Responsibility
- Regularly clean all areas of the Menuhin Hall.
- Clean the kitchen and bar area when required.
- Clean/tidy auditorium.
- Wipe clean the tables.
- Clean all of the toilets in the hall and change the toilet rolls when necessary.
- Hoover and clean the ground floor and upper foyer areas of the Hall.
- In the main school buildings, clean bedrooms, change bedding, cleaning staff and student accommodation and classrooms when requested.
- Duties listed are not exhaustive; all members of staff are expected to undertake duties reasonably required by the Head.

- Experience and Knowledge
- Previous experience in cleaning roles (commercial or domestic).
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to schedules.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (e.g. lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
- Reliable and punctual.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Respectful and professional when interacting with staff and visitors.
