We are looking for an experienced technician to join the University’s Maintenance Technician team, part of the wider Estates and IT directorate. The Maintenance team ensure the upkeep, repairs and general maintenance of the University’s buildings fabric, with particular emphasis on the electrical or mechanical services and equipment, is carried out safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:The successful candidate will join the Maintenance Technician team to ensure the upkeep, repairs and general maintenance of the University’s buildings fabric, with particular emphasis on electrical or mechanical services and equipment, carried out safely and efficiently.
Requirements / Qualifications:The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, and have qualifications or equivalent experience in a maintenance/service environment, or electrical or mechanical or similar installation background. They will be competent with Microsoft Office, and a current driving licence or equivalent mobility is essential. The successful candidate must also be comfortable lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 25kg.
Reporting:This role reports to the Estates Team Leader, but will need to be able to communicate appropriately with all levels across the University in order to carry out tasks and duties effectively.
