We are recruiting dedicated SEN Secondary Teachers for daily and long-term roles at specialist schools, academy trusts, and alternative provisions across Cambridge and the surrounding area.
This is an opportunity to focus on child-centred learning, supporting young people with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD).

: Take full control of your working week.
Deliver pre-planned lessons and support consistent class teams across the secondary age range without ongoing planning, marking, or parents evenings.
Long-Term Placements
: Enjoy the stability of a consistent timetable for a term or a full academic year.
You will lead a class group, adapt the secondary curriculum to meet specific sensory and cognitive levels, and build meaningful relationships with pupils and their families.
- What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
- Experience teaching within an SEN setting, or a mainstream secondary teacher with a strong background in differentiation and a passion for transitioning into specialist sectors.
- Excellent behaviour management skills, utilising a calm, nurturing, and positive de-escalation approach.
- The ability to adapt secondary subject content to meet individual education plans (IEPs) and varying communication styles (such as PECS or Makaton, though not essential).
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain one).
