Location: Cambridge

Type: Full time, Permanent

Working hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (on call: 1 week in 3)

Salary: GBP46,000 per annum

Benefits: pension plan, 28 days holidays increasing to 33 with service

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of all equipment including rice milling and packing equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, reactive service and repair work
  • Diagnose and resolve issues and update documentation
  • Undertake planned maintenance as directed by the engineering manager or team leader
  • Carry out site maintenance
  • Fabricate spare parts for equipment using lathe, mill and welding activities
  • Work with the Operations Teams to offer engineering expertise in the design and delivery of improvements
  • Correctly fault find on electrical control and power systems
  • Perform repairs on pneumatics, motors, pumps, conveyors

Requirements

  • Engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent): ideally both electrical and mechanical
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings
  • Experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment
