Overview: Fantastic opportunity to join a market leading and progressive company in the Electrical Industry as a Business Development Manager. The successful applicant will receive a good basic salary, company car and pension, along with participation in the target related bonus scheme and significant health and life insurance benefits.
Location: Candidates located in Chelmsford, Wickford, Southend on Sea, Basildon, Dartford, Maidstone, Croydon or nearby areas are preferred to be central to the territory, with good access to road networks. An excellent candidate located anywhere within the South East of England will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage a home-based diary and customer visits within a defined territory to identify opportunities to promote and sell a full range of electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation and process automation solutions.
- Engage with decision makers to develop relationships and grow business, supported by a wide range of supplier products and brands.
- Work with the Regional Sales Manager and marketing to leverage available customer databases and marketing activities; utilize full technical support and ongoing product and technical training.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Demonstrable sales career history and success in related markets.
- Time management, well-organised, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive, "can do" attitude; commercially and technically capable.
- Ideally knowledge of Industrial Electrical/Control and Automation.
- Microsoft 365 proficiency.
- Customer-focused with a full UK driving licence.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK. No sponsorship available for this role; open to those already living and working in the UK.
Benefits and Employment Terms: Salary: GBP 40K–GBP 50K basic (NEG DOE) with OTE; plus bonus; company car; pension; health insurance; critical illness cover; life assurance. Remote working from a home base with autonomy to plan diary and visits within the territory. Full technical support and access to an extensive range of supplier products; training provided.
