About the Role

On behalf of our client, Head First is recruiting a part‑time team support worker to provide support to a 37‑year‑old man with an acquired brain injury who lives in his own home in the Burgess Hill area. The support worker will work alongside the client, his family, and healthcare professionals as part of a support team providing a rehabilitation package.

The client has a full programme of activities and likes to stay busy, which includes voluntary work, active sport, PT sessions and various leisure activities. Due to his brain injury, he requires support with daily living, including arranging and accessing appointments, participating in social activities and outings, menu planning and preparation, and building skills to live as independently as possible in his own home.

You will become part of a friendly, close‑knit team that benefits from support and encouragement from a caring and understanding family network, working collaboratively to ensure the client lives a fulfilled and enriched life.

Because the client can struggle with concentration and initiation, it is important to maximize independence, provide a structured approach, and engage in meaningful activities while maintaining the client’s schedule.

Support Worker Requirements

  • Licensed to drive a manual car.
  • Up‑to‑date DBS at enhanced level required. The employer will pay for a DBS if you need one.
