Do you have experience working with children, young people, SEN, SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, behavioural needs, youth work or care settings? We are recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school supporting primary and secondary aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This specialist setting provides a nurturing and supportive environment for pupils with SEMH needs. With small class sizes, a personalised approach to learning and a strong focus on well-being, staff work together to help young people build confidence, resilience and positive outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team, gain valuable experience in SEND and SEMH education, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Following a successful 12-week placement, you will transfer directly onto the school's permanent staff team.
Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Burgess Hill
Salary: GBP93 - GBP100 per day (12-week temporary placement), GBP22,000 - GBP23,500 per annum (permanent)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:15am - 3:30pm
