Overview: Permanent position for Simulation, Modelling and Control Engineers within a leading Advanced Aerospace, Marine and Defence Services Organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Create and run simulation analyses for equipment and system design activities.
- Validate and derive system and equipment requirements.
- Develop system control and monitoring algorithms.
- Perform root‑cause analysis.
- Write technical reports, from Model Description Documents to Analysis Reports.
- Represent the company to customers and contribute to technical proposals.
- Lead technical modelling packages and progress to technical signatory.
- Collaborate with technical leads and principal engineers, learning best practices and contributing improvement ideas.
Working Conditions: Flexible working available with a hybrid model for part of the week.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree‑qualified in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or an equivalent discipline.
- Strong understanding of fundamental modelling principles.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python and associated toolboxes.
- Knowledge of version control (GIT) and task management tools.
- Industrial engineering experience or knowledge of modelling for development and analysis of complex systems.
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
- Confidentiality, flexible, can‑do approach, professional attitude, self‑motivated, solid team‑working ethos.
Security Clearance & Nationality: Security clearance required; UK nationals only for this role due to the nature of systems involved.
