Garden maintenance team leader is required by one of the area’s leading horticulture and grounds maintenance specialists for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of operatives as charge hand and carry out duties such as hedge cutting, strimming, using pedestrian mowers and ride-on mowers, grass cutting/maintenance, weed control and general grounds maintenance tasks.
  • On-site supervision on projects including schools, business parks, industrial estates and housing developments.
  • Ensure work is completed to required standards and on schedule.

Hours & Pay

  • Working Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, plus overtime
  • Pay rate: GBP 14.57 – 15.12 per hour including holiday pay

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in commercial grounds maintenance.
  • Experience and knowledge of the industry.
  • PA1/PA6 is strongly desired but not essential.
  • Driver’s license is essential.

The role is ongoing and may become permanent if everything goes well. There is plenty of opportunity for overtime.
