The Role:
This position offers a highly visible, customer-facing remit, where you’ll act as a key interface between clients and internal functions. You’ll play a critical role in aligning customer expectations with operational capabilities while ensuring robust and sustainable quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary quality contact for key customers, building trusted, long-term relationships
- Manage and resolve complex customer quality issues, ensuring expectations are met and aligned with operational capability
- Provide clear, confident communication and challenge where requirements are not achievable
- Support customer visits, audits, and review meetings
- Lead non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Deliver robust solutions that balance customer expectations and business capability
- Work closely with suppliers on quality concerns and improvements
- Identify and reduce process risks, improving consistency and performance
- Analyse defect trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support control plans, validation, and defect prevention activities
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to embed quality standards
- Provide coaching on quality tools, risk management, and problem-solving methods
- Support new product introduction and process changes
About You:
- Significant experience in a Quality Engineer or Process Engineer role within manufacturing
- A proven track record of building and developing strong client relationships
- Experience resolving complex quality challenges, balancing customer needs with operational realities
- Strong background in non-conformance, root cause analysis, and corrective action
- Knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100 (or similar)
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
