Location: Leeds, LS10

Salary: A GBP 38,438.40 per annum (dependent on experience, plus overtime and on‑call allowance)

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00, Friday 08:00 – 16:00

The Role

Our client, a well‑established manufacturing business based in the Leeds area, is seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician / Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This is a key role supporting the ongoing maintenance, reliability, and improvement of site infrastructure and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Manager in maintaining and improving site security
  • Ensure all infrastructure assets comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the site

Infrastructure and Asset Management

  • Deliver engineering and electrical projects within agreed timeframes
  • Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and fully operational
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programmes
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and respond to breakdowns efficiently
  • Recommend and support machinery upgrades and improvement plans
  • Assist with planning and budgeting for equipment replacement
  • Ensure compliance with relevant external standards

Communication and Reporting

  • Work closely with the Site Manager to coordinate maintenance activity
  • Monitor and report on asset performance
  • Provide recommendations to improve safety, efficiency, and compliance
  • Liaise with technical and product development teams to support operational feasibility

Skills And Experience Required

  • Apprentice-trained Electrician with strong industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
  • Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
  • Good IT and computer skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
