Responsibilities:
- Prepare and draft legal documents for a Partner in a busy criminal defence practice.
- Manage diaries, key deadlines and act as first point of contact for clients.
- Oversee file management from opening to closure, coordinate appointments and ensure accurate documentation.
- Track and chase private fees in the road‑traffic department, ensuring payments are received before hearings.
- Perform front‑of‑house duties to maintain a professional and welcoming client experience.
Qualifications:
- Organised and detail‑oriented Legal Secretary or Legal PA with experience in a legal environment.
- Strong administrative and communication skills, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast‑paced setting.
- Confident dealing with clients over the phone and in person, professional and approachable manner.
- Solid IT skills and a good understanding of law‑firm operations.
- Experience in criminal defence or family law is advantageous but not essential.
