SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Cranleigh, Surrey

Salary: GBP20,224 – GBP21,032

Hours: 36 hours per week (Term-time + CPD days). Part-time considered (3+ days).

We are looking for dynamic individuals to support students aged 5–19 with severe social communication difficulties, complex learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours, helping them develop essential life skills for a more independent future.

Responsibilities:

  • Small class sizes: work with groups of 8–13 students grouped by ability.
  • Holistic support: assist with literacy, numeracy, and PSHE using multisensory tools (Makaton, signs, and symbols).
  • Behavioural guidance: support students through moments of anxiety or frustration with a calm, patient approach.
  • Personal care: provide essential care and hygiene support (full training provided).
