The Role: Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join a well-established hotel in Belfast, ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of all building systems and facilities.
The successful candidate will take a hands‑on leadership role, overseeing day‑to‑day maintenance activities while delivering a high standard of service that supports both guest experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all planned and reactive maintenance across the hotel
- Collaborate and support the maintenance team and external contractors
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including statutory checks and record‑keeping
- Carry out hands‑on maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general fabric repairs
- Monitor maintenance budgets, stock, and procurement of materials
- Support ongoing refurbishment projects and capital works
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues to minimise disruption to guests
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment
- Strong technical knowledge across building services (electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. City and Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in a trade discipline)
- Sound understanding of health and safety compliance and statutory requirements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
- A proactive, hands‑on approach with excellent problem‑solving ability
