Overview
Behaviour Mentor : Basildon
This is a full-time Behaviour Mentor role in a specialist education setting supporting pupils with additional needs. This role is based in Basildon and starts ASAP. Paid trial days to be arranged.
Responsibilities
- Provide mentoring and behaviour management support in a school environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to support their learning, development and wellbeing.
- Manage challenging situations in a calm and proactive manner.
- Support pupils with additional needs in line with school policies and safeguarding requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mentor or behaviour manager in schools or similar settings
- Positive Handling / Team Teach training (essential)
- A confident, calm and proactive approach to managing challenging situations
- Ability to build trust and motivate young people to engage in learning
