Mechanical Engineering Design Manager, Mechanical Design Engineer, Drawing Office Manager : packaging machinery, turnkey capital equipment, industrial equipment
As our Design Manager, you will be managing the companies Mechanical Design Engineering function (Drawing Office) and a team of 5 Mechanical Design Engineers. You will spend 50 of your time managing and leading the team, and 50 as a hands on Design Engineer.
You will be expected to achieve agreed delivery times and KPIs on new machines, upgrades and spare parts, to create drawings, BOMs and spares lists and will be expected to liaise effectively with the Electrical Design, Software and Controls and manufacturing teams.
Person Specification
- A You WILL be an experienced Mechanical Engineering Design Manager (or Drawing Office Manager) or will be a very experienced Design Engineer looking to move into a management role.
- A You WILL have specific experience of special purpose machinery and ideally of packaging machinery.
- A You WILL be a qualified Mechanical Engineer to a minimum of HNC level.
- A You WILL have experience of using SolidWorks and /or AutoCAD software.
