We are partnering with a leading communications and technology organisation to appoint an RF Engineer to support a portfolio of critical UK programmes. This on‑site role is based in Bath and requires eligibility for SC clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead antenna and RF engineering activities across multiple UK programmes.
- Support requirements capture, analysis, and systems‑engineering deliverables.
- Review technical designs and ensure compliance with customer, programme, and industry requirements.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure technical compliance and successful delivery.
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Identify technical risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, operations, and programme teams.
- Provide technical expertise and support customer‑facing discussions where required.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 7 years experience within engineering, defence, telecommunications, or SATCOM environments.
- Strong understanding of RF engineering principles and satellite communications systems.
- Experience with ground‑station equipment including converters, amplifiers, receivers, and antenna systems.
- Experience delivering systems‑engineering activities on large‑scale or complex projects.
- Understanding of technical compliance, engineering governance, and regulated environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Eligible to obtain or currently hold UK Security Clearance.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of ISO standards, DEFCONs, DEFSTANs, and JSPs.
- Experience using requirements and document management tools such as DOORS and Azure DevOps.
- Experience working within defence, government, or critical infrastructure projects.
- Ability to lead technical discussions across multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.
Salary and Benefits
