Randstad Student Support is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to support students at the University of Bath. This vital role involves managing a dedicated caseload and providing essential support as part of the Therapeutic, Mental Health, and Wellbeing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a student caseload, providing solution-focused planning and therapeutic interventions.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk management and safety planning.
  • Perform detailed risk assessments and subsequent casework.
  • Collaborate with the merged Mental Health and Wellbeing team, focusing on work that may not necessarily require six sessions of counselling.

Essential Requirements

  • Current registration with a professional body. The University will consider candidates with current registration in one of the following:
  • Social Worker England (SWE)
  • Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC: as a Mental Health Nurse)
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC: e.g., as an Occupational Therapist)
  • BACP membership.
  • Experience in solution-focused planning, risk assessment, and safety planning.
  • Ability to work on campus with some required in-person sessions as part of a hybrid work pattern.
  • Rate: GBP22 per hour + holiday pay

    Type: Locum, 0.8 FTE (4 days per week)

    Duration: Until the end of the term (approx. end of June)
