This ADAS Application Engineer role sits at the heart of the product development industry, helping to lead the development and delivery of ADAS Technology Applications for EV, Transit and Commercial Vehicle programmes.

What You Will Do
- A- Lead development and delivery of ADAS Technology Applications for EV and CV programmes in line with agreed specifications and programme targets.
- A- Support feature definition for new programme content by working closely with Planning, Marketing and Program Management to help shape business cases for DAT technologies.
- A- Deliver engineering tasks across the full lifecycle: design, develop, release, test and launch content to meet requirements and gateway expectations.
- A- Manage and coordinate commodity suppliers to drive commitments and delivery, ensuring clear ownership and progress.
- A- Carry out ADAS hardware and sensor interface compatibility work, including trade: off studies and practical resolution of engineering issues.
- A- Help maintain quality and compliance by ensuring assigned systems, components and deliverables meet regulatory and safety requirements, supporting verification and sign: off testing at component and vehicle level.
- What You Will Bring
- A- Design and Release Engineer, ideally with ADAS, Electronics Hardware or CAD packaging requirements and software experience.
- A- Proven experience in electrical or electronic systems, including hardware and/or software development, plus project management capability.
- A- Familiarity with PD processes and design methodologies, including requirements and software management approaches.
- A- Strong working knowledge of Ford Global Product Development System and engineering tools and processes such as VSEM, GPDS, e FDVS, AVBOM, WERS, AIMS and Teamcenter (or a close transferable equivalent).
- A- A relevant Automotive or Engineering degree, and a valid driving licence for use across the UK and mainland Europe, with the ability to travel without restriction to development sites worldwide when required.
- A- A collaborative, solutions: focused style, with confidence in working with cross: functional stakeholders to drive engineering outcomes.
This ADAS Application Engineer role contributes directly to the companys delivery goals by supporting safe, compliant and high: quality ADAS systems.
It also supports continuous improvement through lessons learnt and the application of structured processes, helping teams move faster with fewer issues while maintaining strong engineering discipline.
Location
Dunton, with occasional travel to Turkey and Germany development sites to support Assembly Plant or supplier issues for programme delivery.
