A respected architectural practice in North Devon is looking for an experienced Architect to join its growing, collaborative team. The studio has a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, high-quality residential and commercial projects across rural and countryside settings throughout the South West. Its portfolio spans bespoke homes, conversions, commercial developments, and heritage and conservation projects, all underpinned by a commitment to sensitive, landscape-led design.

Responsibilities
- Lead and support projects from concept through to completion
- Prepare and submit planning applications, including statements and supporting documentation, with administrative support
- Manage the planning process and liaise with local authorities
- Produce high-quality design proposals and technical drawings
- Undertake site visits across North Devon and the wider South West
- Deliver sustainable, context-sensitive architecture tailored to rural settings
Qualifications
- Fully qualified Architect with proven UK practice experience
- Strong knowledge of planning processes, including hands-on experience preparing and managing applications
- Experience in rural, residential, or commercial projects
- Excellent design, technical, and presentation skills
- Proficient in Revit; experience with D5 Render, SketchUp, or similar tools advantageous
- Confident communicator with a proactive and collaborative approach
- Passionate about rural architecture and sympathetic, landscape-led design
- Willing to support and mentor junior team members
