We are recruiting a driven and hands-on Teaching Assistant for a specialist provision in Barnsley (S75), ideal for someone who thrives in structured, high-expectation environments.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide direct classroom support, reinforce routines, and apply a confident, no-nonsense approach to help pupils stay focused and engaged. You’ll support learning, reinforce behaviour expectations, and help drive consistency across the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support: Provide firm, steady support during lessons to keep pupils focused and on task.
- Behaviour Reinforcement: Apply consistent boundaries, structure, and expectations.
- Learning Assistance: Support pupils with work set by the teacher and reinforce key learning points.
- Routine Leadership: Maintain clear daily routines and transitions across the school day.

- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness through us.
