A food manufacturing company is looking for a Sourcing Coordinator to join its fun, fast-paced environment in Barking.
Key Responsibilities
- Support activities for ingredients, packaging, and services within the topping category.
- Support the delivery of National and Traded customer projects from concept through to implementation.
- Coordinate manufacturing trials, ensuring materials, samples, specifications, and supplier support are available to meet project timelines.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive service, innovation, quality, and value.
- Evaluate suppliers and sourcing options, onboarding, balancing commercials, operational, and technical requirements.
- Conduct supplier visits to strengthen partnerships, assess capabilities, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Attend trade shows and industry exhibitions to identify emerging trends, new suppliers, innovative ingredients, and packaging solutions.
- Work closely with Commercial, NPD, Technical, Quality, Operations, and Finance teams to support business objectives.
- Monitor market developments and proactively identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, sustainability, and supply resilience.
- Maintain accurate sourcing records, supplier documentation, and project trackers.
- Prepare sourcing updates, recommendations, and business cases to support decision making.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or commercial support within a food manufacturing environment.
- Supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to assess opportunities and make sound recommendations.
- Organizational and project management capabilities.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
This is a full-time, office-based role, working Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30. Salary: GBP 32,000 - GBP 34,000 per annum.
