Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced Sonographer to fill a locum position in Bangor and Wrexham. Our client is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration. The position offers a pay rate of GBP30 - GBP40 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • The sonographer will be independently responsible for carrying out and reporting on specialised ultrasound examinations to a high standard and in a professional manner, working to departmental guidelines whilst being accountable for their own actions.
  • You will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.
  • You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to perform ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
  • You will review and interpret images, and communicate findings to other healthcare professionals, ensuring all imaging is performed in a safe and professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent clinical skills, experience and a post graduate ultrasound qualification are essential.
  • Experience across a wide range of examinations including general abdominal, gynaecological, obstetrics and DVT is essential.
  • Small parts and/or MSK experience would be an advantage.
  • Must hold a PG Dip in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent, awarded from a CASE accredited UK University.
  • Registration with HCPC is essential.
  • The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and hold a post-graduate certificate or diploma in medical or clinical ultrasound.

Location and Interview

Locations: Bangor and Wrexham. Applicants shortlisted will be required to attend an on-site face-to-face interview.
