Assistant Learning and Development Director : Luxury London Hotel

Location: London Full:time, office:based

Salary: Up to A GBP 65,000 + bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant L and D Director to join a prestigious London hotel and play a key role in shaping the learning, development and talent agenda across the property.

This is a hands:on leadership role for an experienced Learning and Development professional who is passionate about creating exceptional people experiences and building a strong culture of learning, performance and progression.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will support the delivery of the hotels overall L and D strategy, working closely with department heads and managers to identify development needs and deliver impactful learning initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design and implementation of the hotels L and D strategy and annual training plan.
• Leading and developing a high:performing L and D function.
• Partnering with department heads to identify skills gaps and development priorities.
• Designing and delivering engaging training programmes across all levels of the hotel.
• Supporting leadership development, talent management and succession planning.
• Developing onboarding and induction programmes that create a strong colleague experience from day one.
• Driving a culture of continuous learning, coaching and feedback.
• Monitoring training effectiveness, engagement and ROI, using data and feedback to continually improve programmes.
• Supporting compliance, mandatory training and relevant industry standards.
• Building strong relationships with external training providers and partners.
• Championing the hotels values and ensuring they are embedded throughout the colleague journey.

Requirements

• Were looking for an experienced L and D professional with a strong background in luxury, upscale or high:volume hospitality, ideally within a hotel environment.
• Youll bring:
• Proven experience in a senior L and D, Learning Manager or Assistant L and D Director role.
• Strong knowledge of learning strategy, talent development and leadership programmes.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and influence across all levels of the organisation.
• A proactive, creative and commercially minded approach to L and D.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• A genuine passion for developing people and creating a positive workplace culture.
