This role is crucial in helping them to achieve this. This role offers you the opportunity to do this. They recognise they need to change their ways of working and the Advanced Industry Skills Coaches will help them to do this.

As a person who has industry skills knowledge and expertise you will help them to develop their sector curriculum specialism and campus USPs across all of the Group’s sites. The key role of an Advanced Industry Skills Coach is to provide up-to-date industry knowledge, and deliver strong practical teaching, training and assessment, ensuring students reach their potential through high-quality self‑guided learning.

In this role you will use your expertise and technical skills to provide skills coaching and support students in practical workshop sessions and complete onsite assessments. These delivery models will include T Level programmes, Access, and Foundation Degree. They want to support their local economy to restart and meet the needs of their employers by developing highly skilled local talent. To do this they need to work with industry experts, as an Advanced Industry Skills Coach, you will be imperative in coaching and tutoring their students to ensure they develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to be successful in the future.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You will have industry experience/updating within the last 2 years within Health and Social Care.
  • Ideally you will have experience of teaching/training within Clinical Health and be able to support and inspire the next generation of professionals.
  • You will hold a vocationally relevant qualification, a teaching qualification at level 5 or above (or be willing to work towards), an assessor or IQA qualification (or be willing to work towards) as well as Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • You will also be able to support with a flexible delivery model of theory, practical and digital learning and be able to bring the subject to life through innovative and creative delivery methods.

Department Info

You will report directly to a Curriculum Team Leader who supports the Curriculum Manager and the Senior Leadership Team and will play an active role in the curriculum team, working with key stakeholders such as Curriculum Team Leaders, Curriculum Manager, and student experience team and student support etc. You will regularly report on your objectives to update your Curriculum Team Leader regarding a range of KPIs including (but not limited to) student recruitment, retention, skills progress, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality. You will work with other teaching and delivery staff to develop and share good practice in the area.
