Activities Coordinator : Residential Social Care

Location: North Chailey, East Sussex, BN8 4EF

Salary : A GBP 24,242 : A GBP 26,377 per annum (DOE)

Hours: 37 hours per week (full:time)

The Role

As their Activities Coordinator, youll bring joy, structure, and opportunity into each young adults daily life. From drama, music and art to swim sessions, gym workouts and day trips, youll create a rich, inclusive programme of activities using their fantastic on:site facilities and community links.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Getting to know each young adult and designing personalised activity programmes around their interests
  • Leading engaging sessions : from arts and crafts to gardening, games, and cooking
  • Organising outings, community trips, and big events like Celebration Day and the Carol Service
  • Liaising with care teams and families to align activities with aspirations, progress, and transitions
  • Collaborating across CHF teams to tap into shared expertise and brilliant resources

Skills And Qualifications

  • Experience working in a care setting : ideally with young people with disabilities
  • A creative, proactive mindset : someone who sees opportunities and makes them happen
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence leading activities and events
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A minibus driving qualification : or willingness to train (bonus)
