About the role: Are you passionate about giving children the very best start in life? Do you believe cuddles, curiosity and consistency are just as important as planning and paperwork? If so, we would love to meet you for the Early Years Practitioner role (Level 3 qualification required).
Reports to: Charliey, Manager; Lisa and Kate, Owners at Tip Top Day Nursery Bilston.
Location: Tip Top Day Nursery, Bilston.
Responsibilities:
- Creating a calm, safe and stimulating environment where children feel secure, happy and curious.
- Planning engaging, age‐appropriate activities that support early development and individual needs.
- Fulfilling key person responsibilities and ensuring strong attachments for every child.
- Working as part of a team to deliver high quality care.
- Using Famly to complete observations, assessments and learning journeys to a high standard.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with parents and carers.
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies are followed at all times.
Qualifications:
- Holds a Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or above) recognised in the UK.
- Has experience working in a nursery and holds a full and relevant Early Years Qualification.
- Has a sound understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted expectations.
- Can balance professionalism with playfulness (yes, singing nursery rhymes is encouraged).
- Communicates clearly with colleagues and parents.
- Must pass an enhanced DBS check, provide 2 satisfactory references and a valid Early Years qualification.
