Tippers are the Midlands' leading builders' merchant suppliers and we are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Senior Sales/Business Development Manager to join our team at our Nuneaton Branch. If you have builders' merchant experience, enjoy building relationships with customers, and thrive in a busy sales environment, getting out and about then this could be the role for you.
What you'll be doing
- Building strong relationships with customers, both face-to-face and over the phone
- being out and about in the area building new connections and finding business opportunities
- Providing expert advice and recommending the right products for customers' projects
- Preparing quotations, following up enquiries and converting opportunities into sales
- Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive customer experience
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the sales office and completing administrative tasks accurately
- Working closely with colleagues across the branch to ensure customers receive the right products first time
- Maintaining well-presented product displays and promoting key product ranges
- Using your product knowledge to drive sales and grow customer accounts
What we're looking for
- Previous experience within a builders' merchant or sales/ BDM environment
- Strong knowledge of building materials and the construction industry
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Customer-focused with a proactive and positive approach
- Confident in identifying sales opportunities and closing deals
- Well organised with good attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Experience supporting or leading a team would be advantageous
- Passionate, driven and committed to delivering exceptional customer service
