Day Service Co-Worker (Driver)
Salary £26,227 rising annually to £28,665 (over 6 years) pro rata
Part-time; 30.3 hours per week Monday – Thursday
We are seeking a Part-time staff member who shares our values and as the experience and skills to support adults with learning disabilities on a one-to-one and group basis to participate in meaningful work within our day service.
The post is based within our Day Service and supports our Social Enterprise. Together with our members with learning disabilities, we aim to produce unique items for our annual fairs and for our community. Our work focuses on producing compost, firewood and kindling as well as work around our Estate. We value focus on crafts around seasonal changes and preparation for specific festivals.
Essential is the capacity to work positively with individuals with autism and complex needs. You will need to have an ability to facilitate an individual to participate in a meaningful way within the Quarry environment. You must be aware of the needs of people who use different formsofcommunication and a confidence in working with people with behaviour that challenges.

Experience
- Experience supporting adults in a day service, or social enterprise setting.
- Experience as a key worker or lead worker with responsibility for reviews, outcomes, and support planning.
- Experience administering medication.
- Experience providing personalised intimate care.
- Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy or other health conditions.
- Experience using positive behaviour support approaches.
- Experience leading group activities, training opportunities, or skill-development programmes.
- Experience working with volunteers.
- Experience within a values-based care environment.
- Experience working in outdoor environments, or other practical vocational settings.
